Dogs: Foxes and Coyotes

The red fox, gray fox, and coyotes all live within the boundaries of Oakwoods Metropark.  By utilizing different areas of the park, at different times of the day, they avoid competing with one another as much as possible.

The red fox run through the smaller, broken sections of woods and the edges, while they gray fox prefers the larger tracts of forest for its habitat.

The coyotes can be found patrolling the large, open fields along the park road.
