Night of the Dragon Festival at Indian Springs
Saturday, October 7
Hear ye, hear ye, dragons are descending over Indian Springs Metropark, and we’re calling all kings and queens, knights and peasants, princes and princesses and everyone in between to join us for a medieval themed festival! Enjoy live performances and entertainment, along with activities for children. Talk a stroll along the Walk the Dragon Trail, where you encounter different stops for goodies and enjoy a photo opp. Try your hand at axe throwing or stone tossing. Dress in your favorite medieval attire and bring the little ones in their costumes, there will be a costume contest for both adults and kids.
Throughout the event there will be barbeque offerings and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. As the sky darkens, we will feature live astronomy presentations and sky viewing opportunities to see the annual Draconids Meteor Shower, Draco constellation and learn about the October night sky.
Ages: Fun for all ages!
Time: 6 p.m. – Midnight
Cost: Free! A Metroparks annual or daily vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark.

Hear ye, hear ye, dragons are descending over Stony Creek Metropark, and we’re calling all kings and queens, knights and peasants, princes and princesses and everyone in between to join us for a medieval themed festival! Enjoy live performances and entertainment, along with activities for children. Talk a walk through the Woods of the Ridge on the Torch Fire Trail, where you can gather around bonfires and enjoy a photo opp. Try your hand at axe throwing or stone tossing. Dress in your favorite medieval attire and bring the little ones in their costumes, there will be a costume contest for both adults and kids.
Throughout the event there will be barbeque offerings and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. As the sky darkens, we will feature live astronomy presentations and sky viewing opportunities to see the Draco constellation that honors the mythical serpent dragon Draco and learn about the Draconids Meteor Shower that occurs annually earlier in October.
