June Jubilee: Connecting Our Stories
Celebrate community, culture, and the power of storytelling at our June Jubilee: Connecting Our Stories in honor of Juneteenth! This family-friendly event at beautiful Lake St. Clair Metropark offers something for everyone:
– Free entry to the pool
– Live Storytellers & Book Giveaways
– Guided Nature Hikes
– Nanou Dijapo African Drum Ensemble
– Food Vendors & Local Eats (Noon – 3 p.m.)
Come share in the joy of connection through stories, nature, and fun. Bring your family, your friends, and your love of summer adventures!
Ages: Fun for all ages!
Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Cost: Free! A Metroparks annual or daily pass is required to enter any Metropark.
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, near Thomas Welsh Activity Center
If you have a group that is interested in attending, we can provide a Get Out and Play grant that will cover a free lunch for your group and reimbursable transportation costs (up to $500/bus). The grant is available for non-profit organizations and public institutions who serve under-resourced youth and seniors within Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne Counties.
