What a great experience we had at Indian Springs Environmental Discovery Center. My son is moderate to severely autistic. It’s difficult to get him out of the house, let alone to be excited about an outing. He’s obsessed with elevators and wanted to ride the Schindler Elevator at Indian Springs. I called ahead and was greeted by a little treasure named Caitlyn. She told me to stop by the front desk when we came in. They had a sensory bag ready-with headphones and fidgets and much more. We got to meet Picasso, the turtle, at the front desk. We came to ride the elevator, but we ended up seeing much more! Turtles and fish. It was a beautiful experience thanks, in large part, to Caitlyn. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I highly recommend visiting Indian Springs. They cater to special needs guests and it meant the world to me. I’m going to plan an event-all thanks to Caitlyn-who took excellent care of us! -Katey M.
