PARK CLOSURES
If you’re planning a visit to your Huron-Clinton Metroparks, it’s always a good idea to know-before-you-go. Check the park information below for any closures you should expect during your visit.
Delhi Metropark – Open daily 8 am – 8 pm
Skip’s Canoe Livery is closed for the season. For information regarding Skip’s please visit there website at http://paddlethehuron.com.
West Delhi Parking Area – Closed between October 31 and April 1
The portage area around the Flook Dam at Portage Lake will be closed for the remainder of the year. If you have any questions regarding this closure please contact the Washtenaw County Water Resources at 734-222-6860.
Dexter-Huron Metropark – Open daily 8 am – 8 pm

Hudson Mills Metropark – Open daily 7 am – 8 pm
Park Office – Open 7 days a week, 8 am – 4 pm.
Disc Golf – Open daily during park hours.
Cross Country Ski Trails Condition – No snow at this time.
Golf Course – Closed for the season, thank you for a great 2025!
Please do not use the golf course as a walking trail. Please only use designated trails inside the park.

Huron Meadows Metropark – Park is open from 7 am to 8 pm daily.
Cross Country Ski Center – The ski center is open Monday – Friday 12 pm – 7 pm, Saturday 9 am – 7 pm and Sundays 9 am – 5 pm, weather and conditions permitting. Ski rentals are required to be purchased in advance online. Click here for rental reservations. Please purchase your vehicle and Bucks Run passes at the center. Through December 31, 2025 there is a $5 discount off your annual resident vehicle passes.
Cross Country Ski Trail Conditions as of December 28, 2025 –
- Bucks Run is closed due to poor conditions. At this time there is no connector trail available. Without the connector available you will have to walk to the start of the trail. For your safety and the safety of our staff please adhere to Bucks Run hours. Bucks Run is open Monday – Friday 12 pm – 7:45 pm and Saturday – Sunday 9 am – 7:45 pm, weather and conditions permitting.
- Due to lack of snow no other trails are available at this time.
Cedar Ridge is closed due to road conditions today, December 28, 2025.
Golf Course – Closed for the season, thank you for an amazing 2025!
Please do not use the golf course as a walking trail. Please walk on designated trails only.
Rustic Hike/Nature Trails – The Moraine Fen trail is closed indefinitely between mile marker 34 and 35 due to trail conditions.
Park Office – Open daily 9 am – 3 pm.
Environmental Discovery Center – Open daily 9 am – 5 pm.
Golf Course – Open daily. Tee times can be booked online at: https://golf.metroparks.com/tee-times/
Spray ‘n’ Play – Open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 11 am – 7 pm daily. Free of charge.
Sledding Hill – Open, weather permitting.
Cross County Skiing –All trails groomed on 12/11/2025.
Please be advised the hike-bike trail (wooden boardwalk adjacent to I-96 on ramp) is closed between blue mile markers 7 and 7.25 if going clockwise, and brown mile markers 7.5 and 7.75 if going counterclockwise. This portion of the trail will be closed until further notice.
Holiday Hours: Normal hours on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Cross Country Ski Rentals: Open weekends and holidays depending on weather. Reservation required.

Cross Country Ski Trails Last Groomed: Golf Trails groomed on 12/14/25. Park Trails groomed on 12/11/25. Ski trails will not be open until new and sufficient snow arrives.
Kensington Park Office: Open daily from 8am-6pm.
Kensington Farm Center: Open daily from 9am-4pm. No hayrides on 12/21/2025 due to poor trail conditions.
**Our Farm Center Office and bathrooms will be closed until further notice.**
Kensington Nature Center: Monday from 1pm-5pm and Tuesday-Sunday from 10am-5pm.
Kensington Farm Grill: Closed for the season in December, January, and February.
Bike Rentals: The Bike rental station will return in Spring 2026.
Splash ‘N’ Blast: Closed for the season.
Boat rental and Island Queen: Closed for the season

Lake Erie Metropark Wave Pool: The Great Wave Pool and Food Bar will be CLOSED for repairs for the 2025 season.

**Walnut Grove Campground will be closed until spring in 2026. We are excited to begin work on a grant project funded in part by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Improvements will include new camping site, including ADA accessibility, water and electric hookups as well as other landscaping improvements. Reservations for 2026 will begin in spring 2026.
Oakwoods Nature Center: September 1 through June 18 Open 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Weekdays Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Weekends

Wolcott Farm Center – Open 9am-5pm daily.
Wolcott Mill – Building closed but trails are open.
North Branch Trails – Open from dawn until dusk. Weather permitting based on water levels.
FYI – Natural Resources Department is beginning restoration of the North Branch Trails through prescribed burning this spring. Immediately after burning, we will spread native prairie seeds throughout the area to encourage pollinator-friendly species. Future work may include treating invasive species and repeated prescribed burning every three or so years.
