Birding on the Farm
Grab your binoculars for this birding trip with a farming twist! Spring migration is in full effect, and the farm is bustling with activity. Join us on an early morning walk through the farm and around our crop fields to spot and learn about various species that play a role in an agricultural environment. Discover what impact local birds have on our gardens and farms and learn how to attract certain species to your own yard!
What to Expect:
This program is entirely outdoors. Most of this 1 hour program will be spent walking.
The planned path is dirt and gravel. The planned path grade includes some rugged terrain.
No prior experience with birding is necessary. It is recommended that you wear sturdy boots or hiking shoes. Pack sun protection, and a water bottle. Bring your own binoculars or borrow one of ours!
Ages: Fun for all ages! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Time: 8:15 a.m.– 9:15 a.m.
Cost: $3 per child, $5 per adult, children under 2 are Free!
Location: Wolcott Mill Metropark, Farm Center
Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
