Adventuring 101

Come adventuring with us as we practice some of the most important skills every outdoorsperson should master. We will go outside for our own trailside adventure after learning the best ways to pack a hike bag, practice good trail etiquette, read a map, and be stewards of our natural lands. We will end our time with an open discussion of the best places to get outside this summer, so bring some of your favorite local suggestions.
What to Expect:
This program starts indoors, concludes outside, and includes a leisurely walk. Expect to walk about 1 mile along frequently rolling or slightly hilly terrain on grass, dirt, gravel, and pavement. No prior experience is necessary. In-program group discussion will be encouraged.

Ages: Fun for all ages! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Time: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Cost: $3 per child, $5 per adult, children under 2 Free!
Location: Indian Springs Metropark, Environmental Discovery Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
