Biking

Ride over to Delhi Metropark to experience one of the great cycling routes in Michigan. Start pedaling here and follow Huron River Drive all the way to Ann Arbor. 

Canoeing and Kayaking

Unwind for a few hours canoeing or kayaking the Huron River, one of the state’s designated natural river corridors. The gently flowing waters of the Huron River are suitable for all skill levels and has been designated as the 18th trail of the National Water Trail System.  

Delhi Metropark offers two launches for canoes and kayaks. West Delhi provides the opportunity to launch upstream of the class II rapids, but is mainly used as a takeout after travelling from Hudson Mills Metropark upstream. East Delhi provides the opportunity to launch near the Delhi Bridge below the rapids.  Paddlers can also use Skip’s Huron River Canoe Livery as a portage around the rapids as well.

Skip’s Huron River Canoe Livery

Canoe, kayak and tubing trips, starting at either Hudson Mills or Dexter-Huron Metropark and ending at Delhi Metropark, can be arranged from Skip’s Huron River Canoe Livery in Delhi Metropark. The canoe livery is open daily from May through Labor Day, weather and river conditions permitting.

Fishing

Bring your fishing rod and tackle box and cast your line in the crisp waters of the Huron River surrounded by serene woodlands and riverside wildlife. Common catches include smallmouth and largemouth bass. This area is well known for fly fishing as well as shoreline fishing.   

A valid Michigan Fishing License or Sportsperson’s License is required for all anglers age 17 and up.

Picnicking

Relax under the shade of trees or under the North Picnic Shelter with family and friends. A children’s playground with swings, slides and public restrooms are conveniently located near the shelter.  

Picnic Shelters  

Reunions, graduations, anniversaries, birthdays and any other way your family gets together – make your event more eventful with the Metroparks! Our shelter allows you to bring your own food or catering, add bounce houses, music and so much more. 

Save some money – we’re offering weekday rentals at half price. Prices are already reflected online in our online booking tool.  

• All groups, regardless of size, are encouraged to pre-register to use a picnic shelter. Groups of 50 or more, those bringing in special equipment or hosting a special event are required to make reservations in advance.  
• Park entry fees are not included in the shelter reservation fee.

Playground

Climb, swing and slide your way into a day of fun at Delhi Metropark. Restrooms and picnic shelter are located near by. 

Softball

Round up the team for a game of softball on the softball diamonds. Contact the Hudson Mills Metropark Office at (734) 426-8211 to reserve the fields for club or league use.  

When not reserved, the field is open for informal use. 

Bike Rental

Repair Station

These trailhead kiosks are set in concrete pads enabling greater access to park and trail information. The associated bicycle repair stations can double as wheelchair repair stations.
