Lantern Walk

As the seasons change, the days get shorter, and the nights get colder let’s gather for an autumn celebration. We’ll make our own lanterns adorned with seasonal colors. Using our lanterns to light the way, we will explore the woods after dark on a quiet, meditative walk. All supplies for the lantern will be provided.

What to Expect:

This program starts indoors, ends outside. The time, approximately 45 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk .75 miles. We will conclude at the Hudson Mills Activity Center. The planned path surface is dirt and gravel. The planned path grade is slightly hilly and not suitable for adaptive walking equipment. No prior experience necessary. Time includes personal or group instruction. For maximum enjoyment, some of our program time will require participants to patiently remain quiet and listen closely. Group discussion will be encouraged. A group interactive activity or game with instructions will be involved.

Ages: 10 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Time: 5:30 p.m. – 7p.m.

Cost: $7 per child, $7 per adult

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
