Paddle the Huron River

Let’s take a paddle down the nationally designated Huron River Water Trail by kayak. On this relaxing guided water trip, we’ll enjoy the scenery and discuss the wildlife that might be seen along these waters. We will meet at Delhi Metropark before being shuttled to Dexter-Huron Metropark; from there we will paddle leisurely back to Delhi Metropark, with the entire trip taking approximately two hours.

What to Expect: Participants must be able to raise and lower themselves to a seated position at ground level without assistance and must be able to carry a moderate amount (roughly 20 pounds) of weight and walk over uneven ground. Paddling will be mainly light to moderate but a few points in the trip may require vigorous strokes for a short duration. Participants should be able to comfortably use both arms through a full range of motion. Paddlers of all skills are invited to participate.

Ages: 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Time: 6 p.m. – 8p.m.

Cost: $30 per child, $30 per adult*

*$10 non-refundable deposit per person required at the time of registration. $20 remainder due at arrival to program.
