Birding at Lake St. Clair

Join us for a monthly birding class at Lake St. Clair Metropark! This series is designed to help birders of all levels build their identification skills and deepen their appreciation for Michigan’s diverse birdlife. Each month, we’ll focus on a different group of birds, learning key field marks and behaviors before heading out on the trails to search for them in their natural habitats. Binoculars will be available to borrow, though participants are encouraged to bring their own.
What to Expect:
Plan for about 60 minutes indoors, 60 minutes outdoors for each session. The outdoor session will take place on compact gravel trails and will likely include a walk of between ¼ – ½ mile in length.
Ages: 16 and up.
Time: 10 a.m. – Noon
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature Center
Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
