Adult Outdoor Education Weekend

Are you an adult looking to expand your knowledge of wild places or grow your skills in the great outdoors? Join us for our first ever Adult Outdoor Education Weekend where we will do just that! Each day you can sign up for a variety of workshops focused on wildlife, nature, skill building, or stewardship.

SATURDAY 8/16
9 am – Birding Basics
10:30 am – Walking Sticks
Noon – Fish of Lake St. Clair
1:30 pm – Fire Building 101
3 pm – Gardening for Wildlife

SUNDAY 8/17
9 am – Nature Journaling & Mindfulness
10:30 am – Orienteering & Compasses
Noon – Plant ID & Wild Edibles
1:30 pm – Knots
3 pm – Canoeing

What to Expect:
Plan on about being outdoors for each session. The outdoor session will take place on compact gravel trails and will likely include a walk of between ½ – 1 mile in length. For full day registrations, please bring a bag lunch and water bottle!

Ages: 18 and up
Time: Time varies by workshop.
Cost: $5 per adult per session; OR $30 per adult for both days of sessions OR $20 per adult for a single day. You will see sessions listed with a title for ALL SESSIONS SATURDAY, ALL SESSIONS SUNDAY or ALL WEEKEND, please choose the correct option for the discounted price.

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. one week before the program.
