Full Moon Hike: Strawberry Moon

Want to walk the nature trails under the light of a full moon? Then join us for our full moon hikes! We will discuss the phases of the moon and the stories behind their names. We will walk the trails in search of the sights, sounds and smells of nocturnal wildlife that call the park home. 

What to Expect:
This program will begin around dusk and will end as night is just beginning. If you bring a flashlight or headlamp, it must have a red filter to avoid disrupting the natural rhythms of our animals and support our own night vision. Flashlights will be provided, with red filtering covers so as not to disturb wildlife.

Ages: 8 and up.
Time: Start time varies by date.
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
