Volunteer Workday: Willow

Ready to do something hands-on that actually makes a difference? Join the natural resources team at Willow Metropark for a clean-up adventure as we take on invasive plants and help native species thrive. You’ll learn cool behind-the-scenes facts about the park’s natural areas, see how conservation work happens up close, and enjoy some fresh air while doing good. Bonus: wildlife sightings are always a possibility!

We’ll supply all the tools and equipment you need—including gloves (though you’re welcome to bring your own favorites). Just come dressed to get a little dirty and explore off-trail areas—think long pants, layers, closed-toe shoes, and weather-ready gear. Poison ivy can be present, so plan accordingly. Sunscreen, hats, and a reusable water bottle are strongly encouraged.

Get outside, meet new people, and leave the park better than you found it.

Ages: 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
