Join us for an evening of history and folklore as we explore the Huron Township Cemetery, located in Willow Metropark. Begin the evening with an hayride to the cemetery, where the stories of some of those buried there will come-to-life!! This is not a haunted attraction; but an exciting way to learn about some local history. Please preregister, 734-782-3956.
Join us in removing invasive shrubs from Willow Metropark. We will meet at the Big Bend Picnic Shelter (look for the Metroparks vehicle and blue flag). Volunteers receive free day entry to the park, just let the toll booth attendant know you are at the park for a volunteer workday.
Join us this August for our Movies in the Parks! For three Saturday evenings, we will show a different movie at a different Metropark. Grab your family, friends and kids of all ages for one night or all three. Each evening there will be family-friendly activities, music, bounce houses, food vendors and more followed by a movie under the stars. These events will each feature a sensory-friendly area for a break from the noise and activity.
It’s one of Southeast Michigan’s favorite traditions: The Huron-Clinton Metroparks annual fireworks festival, bringing together so much fun and excitement it takes us four nights to get it all in. Every year, tens of thousands of our neighbors gather together – over picnics and under the stars – to enjoy this celebration of our American Independence. And you can be part of it.
Hippity, hoppity, Easter’s on its way! Join us at the Willow Metropark Food Bar for crafts, games, candy and an Easter Egg Scramble. We might even get a visit from the Easter Pig… that’s right the Easter Pig! Preregistration required, (734) 782-3956.
