Come be an elf with us and make this holiday experience your new family tradition. Besides a visit to see Santa (of course you know him!), spread some Christmas cheer by singing carols loudly with us for all to hear on a hayride, make paper cut-out snowflakes and other crafts in your favorite color for decorating, and enjoy a spaghetti dinner and candy for desert. And don’t leave without buying some real Maple syrup to take home! Fun for buddies of all ages- but especially fun if you’ve seen the movie. Please preregister, (734) 426-8211.
Santa Central is a Christmas tradition. Children can create some crafts, enjoy a hayride and snack, and share their wish list with Santa. Don’t stand in line at the mall; we have small groups with little wait to see the jolly guy. Program is geared toward young children. Advanced ticket sales at the Hudson Mills Metropark Office. Please preregister, (734) 426-8211.

Will you go out with us? Walk, hike or bike off that turkey and join us to take part in the growing movement to skip the shopping and spend Black Friday in nature. Just as REI intended in 2017 when they began closing their doors on the biggest shopping day of the year, the Metroparks want to help you reconnect outdoors over the holidays. Miles of our trails are waiting for you. Spend some time alone in nature or bring your family, your friends or even your furry four-legged companion. Check-in at the Activity Center to receive your map of destinations within the park and other goodies, then head out on a refreshing walk and some you-time with nature. Dress for the weather and don’t forget to bring your favorite photo-taking device. All dogs must be on a 6-foot leash. All ages and abilities welcome.
Join us for our longest guided hike of the season at 3.3 miles. This is a good chance to walk these two trails before cross country ski season begins. Please preregister, 734-426-8211.
