Your Metroparks, Your Stories.

On an early visit this summer to a metro park, my friend spotted a stone circle. She is an avid girl scout and still continues to lead in this area even though her daughter is now in a masters degree program and on her way to a PhD. We wandered over and found this stone circle was built by a girl scout troop years ago. Today I found another stone circle built at the Kensington farm by a boy scout troop (attempting to load a picture but it’s not seeming to load up). Didn’t realize the close affiliation between scouting and the metroparks. Wish I had taken more time with my girl scout troop to do there when I was a leader.
