Kensington Metropark— I decided to ride my bike around the Kent Lake 8.5 mile loop. Everything was going great. I was enjoying the beautiful scenery, getting some exercise, and feeling pretty good about making it up some steep hills, especially near Maple Beach 😉.
Then, around mile 6… I got a flat tire. 😩🚲
So, I had no choice but to walk my bike the rest of the way back to my car. It definitely wasn’t how I planned to finish my ride, but something really special happened along the way.
Almost everyone I passed on the trail stopped to check on me. People offered to help, asked if I needed anything, and made sure I was okay. Complete strangers going out of their way to be kind and helpful.
A flat tire may have cut my bike ride short, but the kindness I experienced made the walk back a lot easier.
That’s the Metroparks! 💚🌳🚲
