The Metroparks have been a part of our family activities for over 50 years! From family picnics and reunions in my childhood to making memories with my own children as an adult. There’s been sunny summer days spent at Metro Beach, hayrides and birthday parties at Kensington Farm Center, seeing Bald Eagles while cruising Kent Lake on the Island Queen, and of course sledding, tobogganing, and cross country skiing in the wintertime. From Trail hikes, geocaching playing disc golf and attending nature center programs, to feeding chickadees in the palm of my hand. The list just goes on and on of the great experiences with family and friends at the Metroparks. These parks are a beautiful treasure in southeastern Michigan, we are all so fortunate to have.
