Your Metroparks, Your Stories.

For more than 30 years, I’ve explored the 5 metroparks within a 15 mile radius of my house (Kensington, Huron Meadows, Hudson Mills, Dexter-Huron and Delhi) and never considered driving farther away to see any others. In recent years, though, I’d begun enjoying our travels outside the state and wished we could travel more. Then this year’s metro park trail challenge caught my eye and I realized I could travel right here in SE Michigan! I’ve never been so happy to discover the amazing world I was missing. I’ve seen so many birds, butterflies, dragonflies, flowers, deer and so much more. Very grateful for the care you put into each and every one of these parks, thank you Huron-Clinton Metropark staff, even a thank you to the poor staffer who scared me to death as I exited a restroom at Lake St Clair, lol. Now my only problem is deciding which park to visit next!
