Your Metroparks, Your Stories.

I always see something at the metroparks! My favorite animal is easy to find at Lake St Clair Metropark, the muskrat! They love to hang out by the cattails and swim in the water. I also see lots of Sandhill Cranes at several of the parks, sometimes just hanging out in the parking area! However, the most endlessly interesting and diverse group of creatures I see on the trail are bugs. Butterflies, bees, moths, caterpillars, beetles, the list goes on… there have been many times when I just had to snap a picture to figure out what it was! It’s always a fun ride and you never know what– or who– you might see! On my most recent visit at Kensington, I saw wild turkeys. 🦃
