One of my goals this year was to spend more quality time with my 9-year-old son, Lucas, making memories together. The Metroparks Trail Challenge has given us a reason to explore new parks, hike trails, visit nature centers, and discover parts of southeast Michigan we probably never would have visited otherwise. Watching him get excited about finding each trail marker has been the best part. We can’t wait to keep exploring together and finish the challenge before October! -Lindsay
