Our family is highly motivated by completing collections, so of course we want ALL of the park charms. It has been very interesting to see how different and beautiful each park is. A few weeks ago we made a day trip to the west and visited Dexter-Huron, Hudson Mills, and Huron Meadows on the same day. We were surprised to see so much water and can’t wait to go back again and try canoeing for the first time. We stopped at a random restaurant and ate overlooking a pond. Both of the kids told me that they felt like they were “on a real vacation!” The cities we drove through were beautiful, but not major tourist towns. Without the Trail Challenge we might never have explored this amazing piece of our great state. I love that we can be on vacation at home. -Letizia
