My now husband and I were kayaking at Stoney Creek in July of 2021. We’d had to postpone our wedding a couple times because of COVID and were undecided on a new date and place. While kayaking and fishing, I found the perfect spot. Pointing to the peninsula with the gazebo, I told him right there is where we’re getting married. Three weeks later we showed up early on a Sunday, with a small group of family and friends. Two of his sons performed the ceremony. It was perfect.
