Your Metroparks, Your Stories.

My husband and I regularly use the Metroparks for biking and walking, and always enjoy seeing the various wildlife and the changing flora and fauna throughout the year. Recently, my husband and our adult son went for an evening walk. When they returned my husband told me about seeing the osprey feeding their young, and then he casually mentioned that they saw a Martian hiding in the weeds of the wetlands, darting about, being elusive and…I had to interrupt him. “A MARTIAN?!?!” 👽 I asked incredulously, picturing it being in the wetlands among the weeds trying to be elusive, as he calmly described. He stopped talking and looked at me kind of funny and realized I was seriously asking the question, and he then he said, “No. A MARSH WREN.”
