My adult son has become interested in disc golf this summer. One morning he asked me which course he should go to practice that day. I suggested one of the metroparks. I explained how I had been doing the trail challenge and that it’s been fun visiting the parks. I shared that they all have such great things to do. He invited me to go with him and we played disc golf at Willow. I have only played a few times and he was encouraging me and teaching me how to improve my throw. We had fun helping each other find our discs if they went off course into the brush. After we finished, I told him that I need to find the kiosk so that I can take my selfie for the trail challenge. We started walking down one of the paths and as we got further I told him that we had already been walking alot since we played the full course and I didn’t need to get my selfie that day. He said, “Are you kidding me!” And he started running down the path to help me find the sign to take my selfie for the challenge. It was a great day spending time with my son doing things in the park that we wouldn’t normally have done.
