Growing up my school did a walk-a-thon at Stony Creek every year. We had to walk at least one time around the park & I was not a fan. However, as an adult, I went to the park more and more & have discovered all the different trails at Stony and it’s one of my favorite places. I live near Sheldon Trails and 2 of my kids enjoyed working at the park. My youngest worked there several years & would have loved to continued but college/work called her out of state. She does visit every time she comes home. I went from not being a fan to loving the Metroparks with family and friends. I now catch the sunset over the lake at Stony often & look forward to the Trail Challenge every year. I even introduced it to family and friends.
