The Metropark trail challenge has become a favorite activity for me and my kids. As a high school science teacher I get the amazing opportunity to be home with my two boys all summer. Kensington Metropark is just around the corner and we go there several times a week. The Metropark challenge got us to explore all the other parks and my boys now ask to go find a new park or activity to do at the metro parks. We have done the family camp outs, nature walks, swimming pools, creature classes, nature centers, farm events, etc… There are so many activities we didn’t think about or consider until the challenge got us to step outside our comfort zone. Looking forward for this program to continue to grow and the memories I will build with my kids.
