Your Metroparks, Your Stories.

My family love the Metro Parks so much we all buy the yearly pass. I’m almost 60 and been going to Metro parks for most of life. Memories include, one of our uncles being lost in the park, sailing on lake, going to the blue park, picnic’s at Possom Hollow every holiday. Movies at the blue park. Our family loves Metro parks. Daily visits now because my grandkids have to go everyday they visit me. Our Metroparks are welcoming and well kept. i’m grateful for our ground staff. From the moment you enter it’s a wonderful experience. Lower Huron is our Blue park per our Grandkids. Before my Mom passed we just go sit or walk through just for the peace of nature. So much to do, My family took me now I take my grandkids. Family reunions , camping, paddleboats. So many wonderful memories. Making more daily. I could go on with so much to say. We miss the fireworks being held on the 4th of July. No complaints, only fun and memories to be made. My Dad is the greatest, he walks the kids through the wooded land telling our grandkids the same stories He once told us. If you never been caught in the rain ate the park you’ve missed a funny experience , yet proving people with compassion. During sudden rain burst we’ve shared our shelter with other’s becoming great friends and family . My Uncle’s would get to the park at 7am to get our same spot. So if you been to the park with us , you know where to find us thanks to my Uncle’s and now my cousin. because we’re learning to carry the torch to keep traditions with our family and friends. Celebrating life in nature is a wonderful experience. This past 4th of July we all felt like kids again! Thanks to my Aunt with all her games for toddlers to seniors. Celebrating my Sister birthday. Family beach time and hiking back to hear my Dad’s stories. Our family comes from all over every Sunday before the holidays to make more memories together. It’s always a great time at our Metroparks . So grateful for GOD’S creation and people who make it safe for us to enjoy.
