When I was young every Sunday my mom would take us to Metro Beach (Lake St. Clair Metropark) . We would have a picnic and eat cucumber sandwiches. But the thing I remember the most was the turtle races they used to have for the kids . Every kid would get a turtle and we would race them for a prize !! So much fun and fond memories that I have! -Christine
