My sister and I have always loved any event or challenge that came with a fun incentive or collectible. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I worried that our adventures together might come to an end. Then we discovered the Trail Challenge, and it turned out to be the perfect way to include her in something we already enjoyed.

She was just 3 years old when we completed our first Trail Challenge, and she quickly fell in love with collecting the kiosk badge at each park. Along the way, she enjoyed discovering the Metroparks’ splash pads, playgrounds, wildlife, birds, flowers, and so many other unique features each park has to offer.

Now, at 4½ years old, we’re excited to begin our second Trail Challenge together with her aunt and uncle. It’s become a tradition that encourages us to explore and spend time outdoors, We can’t wait for many more adventures in the years ahead! -Ashleigh
