I moved to Michigan from Alaska a few years ago and the shift from living very rurally to now in the middle of an urban sprawl was a bit of a shock. Finding the Huron-Clinton Metroparks has been so amazing. Every year the Trail Challenge encourages me to visit all the parks and find new beautiful trails. I love to be able to walk for a few moments and find myself in the middle of a field or a forest, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. It recharges me. -Anna
