I was glad to help build the wigwam at Oakwoods Metropark. It was my son’s Eagle project in 2015, and a dedicated team of volunteers worked on it for a full week, rain or shine, under the direction of Jessica Diemer-Eaton of Woodland Indian Educational Programs. It was wonderful to see it come to life, and a decade later it still draws visitors to the park and supports interpretive programs about Native peoples. -Angela
