My husband and I buy eight Park passes every year. One for each of our kids and one for our cars. As of August 1, my park diary shows my husband and I have visited our metro parks 126 times this year… so far…we truly love our Metro parks. Kensington is my absolute favorite between swimming, hiking, kayaking, birdwatching , and visiting the petting farm. It just has something for everyone. We visit Lake Erie, Metro Park, and lower Huron metro Park often, even on work days to get a quick hike in. We also love Willows and Oakwoods just for a place to hike and visit. My favorite kayaking trip is in Dexter. I love the 3 parks in Dexter!! While all the nature centers are awesome. The one at Indian Springs with the underwater viewing place is by far the best. I love the animals at Walcott Mill. I just regret not taking the trail challenge even though I think I could complete it on time starting today I just love our Metro parks. We even started a sign in book in one of the homemade huts that is at lower huron Metro Park. There was so much interest that it filled up in just two months and we had to replace it with another. It’s just so much fun to share these parks with strangers
