Your Metroparks, Your Stories.

I grew up and continue to live in Farmington Hills. Kensington was always my park. But recently I’ve found it very crowded when I go. My friend, Janice, mentioned the trail challenge as a fun new thing for us. I signed up immediately. What began as a way to find a new park turned into something bigger. It was an opportunity to connect with my gal pal in a healthy way…kinda. once we completed a trail, we would hunt down a local family restaurant to continue our gab fest. We became closer and enjoyed new areas of the state we had never been to. My friend, Kayla joined me in a 5k at Indian Springs and I may have turned her into a 5k junky. My favorite parks ended up to be Stony Creek, Lake Erie and Lake St Clair. Lake St. Clair was a great surprise with so much to do in such a beautiful property. Much construction going on while there so I can’t wait
It to go back and see what’s new. The one park i will not go back to is Huron Meadows. No one around and a bit creepy. I do plan and riding the bike path that connects parks next year. So glad I went on this adventure!!!
