How do animals survive without our help in the cold winter? Students will discover the many adaptations and tactics wild animals use to make it through long snowy months of cold. Through activities and interacting with artifacts, students will learn how to identify animal tracks, how animals move, and the different patterns they leave behind. Indoors, students will practice moving like different types of animals and create track castings. Outdoors, students will search for wildlife signs – tracks, scat, browsing and shelter use by animals.
