Inside, students will discover the different species of birds that live around the Kensington Metropark Nature Center. Using this new knowledge, interpreters will guide students through predictions of bird species that may be spotted in two different habitats surrounding the Nature Center. Outside, we will visit these study sites to observe, investigate, and record the bird species in each area. Back in the nature center classroom the group will tabulate species found and create graphs to compare and contrast the bird species in the various habitats. Students will discover which species survive better in certain ecosystems and why.
