Michigan’s logging industry, of the mid to late 1800s, brought both jobs and people to our state. In this program, the daily life of the lumberjack comes alive as our costumed Interpreters introduce students to the tools and the logging methods used by these hardy individuals of the “Green Gold” era. Students will experience the foods, languages, and pastimes of the logging camps, as well as the stories that grew up around them.
