Explore the life cycle of a plant, learn about their structure and how they are adapted to survive in environments such as a prairie or marsh. Students will learn about pollination, seed dispersal and photosynthesis through hands-on activities. Your students will develop hypotheses about the plants that live in a specific ecosystem and what characteristics they would need to survive and reproduce. An Interpreter will lead your class on a hike to explore a variety of habitats and discover the unique adaptations of plants that live in those areas. Students will explore and observe plants living in different ecosystems. The hike route may traverse level, composite wood boardwalks and hilly mixed gravel and grass pathways.
