Program Description:

Discover the fascinating array of wildlife inhabiting the ponds at Indian Springs Metropark. Our Interpreters will lead students on a hike through diverse habitats where they will encounter an assortment of creatures. From macroinvertebrates to small vertebrates, students will have a hands-on opportunity to observe these pond dwellers up close in specially prepared pond tubs. Our guided activities highlight these organisms’ unique adaptations and life cycles, while we explore the intricate web of life within these watery ecosystems. The hike route may traverse level, composite wood boardwalks and hilly mixed gravel and grass pathways.
