Program Description:
During this guided hike we will traverse along an unpaved trail to discover the Huron River Watershed. Along the way students will visit a river, marsh, and vernal pool to look at the different habitats supported by our watershed and the animals adapted to survive in these unique areas. Students will learn what makes up a healthy watershed, and how water health and biodiversity are related. An Interpreter will help the class discover our local watersheds as well as what local communities are doing to protect them.
