Program Description:

Students will be visiting the Huron River to gather water quality parameters as well as ambient air and water temperatures, water depth, current speed, and water turbidity. Students will learn what a watershed is, how water moves through an ecosystem and how people influence the quality of water. As a class we will discover food chains and energy flow found throughout a riverine ecosystem. During collection, students will be wading in a shallow slow-moving river tributary.
