Program Description:

Students will learn about the Huron River Watershed and how water moves through the land. Students will use various sampling methods and identification aids to learn more about macroinvertebrates in the Huron River. They will learn what makes up a healthy watershed, and how water health and biodiversity are related. An Interpreter will help the class discover our local watersheds, as well as what local communities are doing to protect them. During collection, students will be wading in a shallow slow-moving river tributary.
