Program Description:
Explore the many diverse habitats inside Kensington Metropark. Students will use their observational skills to discover the plants and animals that call these habitats their home and how certain plants can be used as indicator species for specific habitats. With this knowledge, students will be able to use evidence to determine which habitats surround the Nature Center while experiencing the abundant wildlife of Kensington Metropark. During the walk students will also investigate how certain plants reproduce and how animals use different survival strategies through the changing seasons. Topics will correspond with the current season.
