Our marshes are home to many mammals, big and small! From muskrats to minks and raccoons to opossums, we’ll discover what makes these furry animals unique. Students will learn the four main characteristics of mammals and explore the adaptations of mammals found at Lake Erie Metropark. Inheritance and variation of traits will be discussed as the students examine and match images of young and adult mammals and explain their similarities.
