Students will climb aboard a tractor drawn wagon for a trip out to the fields to explore the variety of crops grown on the farm. The wagon will make a stop allowing students to feel the soil and take a closer look at plants in various stages of growth, as well as discovering how well plants grow in different soil conditions. Students will get to experience the adaptations in farming technology that allow for modern agriculture to survive. A hands-on activity will challenge students to identify the plant sources of items in their everyday lives. This program is available August – October.
