Program Description:
Explore the amazing world of birds! In this program students will learn that having feathers is what makes birds unique from all other animals. Other physical characteristics of birds will be discussed including bone structure, eggs and beak types. Students will learn about the behaviors, traits and adaptations of some bird species that can be found at Lake Erie Metropark. Students will then participate in an activity where they will create their own bird and provide reasons for the traits and adaptations they have chosen.
