Through observation and hands on experiences, students will learn about the job that each specific animal does on the farm as well as where food and fiber come from. Students will examine the animals face to face and discuss how the animal’s specific structures relate to their individual functions. Students will discover how parental traits can be observed in their young, and what changes occur as animals age. A hands-on activity will allow students to see, feel, and smell, the different animal feeds and identify their source.
