Program Description:
The farm is always changing with the seasons so come, explore, and experience hands-on activities focused on those seasonal changes. During this special two-hour custom program students will have a hands-on learning experience as they participate in seasonal activities around the Farm Center. Examples of possible activities include:
- Winter – exploring how animals and farmers adapt to and plan for winter, discovering dormancy in plants, examining the history of ice harvesting.
- Spring – planting seeds, investigating herbs, exploring growing plants, interacting with baby animals.
- Summer – exploring animal adaptations, helping out with chores, grooming animals, scavenger hunts.
- Fall – grinding grain, pressing cider, harvesting crops.
Hayrides can be included year-round. Ask for details about this year’s activities when making your booking.
