Program Description:
Wetlands play an important role in an ecosystem, Lake St. Clair and its surrounding wetlands are no different. During this 2-hour program we will discuss the important functions of wetlands, explore swamps, cattail, and coastal marsh habitats. Students will hear about conservation and mitigation efforts made in the park and how that has impacted the people and the wildlife in the area. We will also introduce a threatened Michigan species inside the Nature Center before the guided nature walk.
